Hello...
My name is Ed and I'm the owner of Artistry and Antiques. From around the age of eight, I have been hugely interested in discovering, collecting and learning about the historical past. Family visits to see my Great Aunt in Chipping Norton would provide me with a great deal of time to explore the farmers' fields, looking for Roman coins and other fascinating artefacts. Seeing these items in my hand and knowing that they had been touched by someone else 2500+ years ago excited me behind belief.
I have always admired people who have learned skills which take time to perfect, whether it be pottery, goldsmiths, clothes etc. Processes which have many elements providing a wealth of adaptability. This fascination continued on with my love of art and took me on a journey to art school to study a degree in printmaking at the Norwich School of Art and Design. During my spare time, I would spend countless hours in antiques and charity shops looking for fascinating objects. This is how Studio pottery became my passion.
Come 2025 and I'm into my 5th year as an avid Studio Pottery collector, amongst other things and have decided to share my passion with other people.
Please ask any questions, especially if there is something you particularly want/require. I will of course try my best to accommodate your needs.
Thanks Ed
